This session is the first in a three-part series diving deeply into the hard truths about admission to some of the country's most selective colleges and programs. Registration required.

BEWARE! "Most selective" is not limited to Ivy+ colleges; it also includes a number of out-of-state public flagships (i.e. University of Michigan, University of Virginia, the University of California system, etc) and highly selective majors (often computer science, business, engineering, and nursing) at colleges that may have higher overall admission rates.

Part 1 will cover the following:

• Defining "selective" (hint: It's more than what you think!)
• Five year data trends
• Is my student (or, am I) a good fit for the gauntlet of work required to apply at this level?
• Balancing childhood/teenagerhood amidst the backdrop of achievement

Parents and students in grades 8-12 are all welcome to come learn more with Amber Gilsdorf and Jamie Kirby of Estrela Consulting. Join us for just this session (or all three) to gain insight on the higher admissions landscape and what it takes to be competitive in selective admissions.
