This session is the second in a three-part series diving deeply into the hard truths about admission to some of the country's most selective colleges and programs. Registration required.

BEWARE! "Most selective" is not limited to Ivy+ colleges; it also includes a number of out-of-state public flagships (i.e. University of Michigan, University of Virginia, the University of California system, etc) and highly selective majors (often computer science, business, engineering, and nursing) at colleges that may have higher overall admission rates.

  • Part 2 will cover the following:
  • The "secret sauce" (hint: there isn't one!), but there are factors that can help set a student apart in the applicant pool
  • Who gets in (and why?)
  • Myths & facts about "full rides" & other cost elements
  • The pros and cons (yes there are cons!) of selective institutions

Parents and students in grades 8-12 are all welcome to come learn more with Amber Gilsdorf and Jamie Kirby of Estrela Consulting. Join us for this insightful session (and maybe the next one too!) to learn what your student (or you!) can do now to align with what competitive admissions are looking for.

Registration required; register for each session you wish to attend.
