As two of the most influential countries and cultures in the world today, relations between China and the US deserve attention and beg for greater understanding. This talk will challenge Americans to view the relationship from an outside perspective by acknowledging the history of Sino-US affairs and recognizing the various cultural values that impact the relationship today.
Chris White is the Assistant Director of the East Asian Studies Center at The Ohio State University. He received his BA in History from Malone College (University), MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and PhD in Modern Chinese History from Xiamen University. Originally from Ohio, Chris lived in China for over 15 years.
